This week pray that God will rescue you and your loved ones from those things keeping you from Him. Ask God to show what is keeping you from that closeness He desires to have with you.
Daniel 6:25-28
Daniel 6:25-28 (NIV)25 Then King Darius wrote to all the peoples, nations and men of every language throughout the land: “May you prosper greatly!26 “I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel. “For he is the living God and he endures forever; his kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never end.27 He rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.”28 So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

WOW! From ego to submission. This king has made a change and wants the world to know. He has seen God work in Daniel’s life, and he wants everyone to know about Daniel’s God. While a decree from a king will not normally change the heart of man, it is a great commentary to see how this king has changed his tune. Darius has not only seen Daniel saved, he has served justice to those who attempted to destroy Daniel and his God. He has now asked for the world to change their hearts and worship the true and living God. The words of this king are so powerful that we will end our study of Daniel by quoting him, Daniel 6:26 and 27,”For he is the living God and he endures forever; his kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never end. He rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.”
